NH STRATHAM — Stratham Conservation Commission denies Portsmouth Ave. development permit on wetland concerns. The commission voted 6 to 1 to reject a conditional use permit for a shared driveway impacting wetlands at 210 Portsmouth Ave. Applicants Brendan Sheehan of Red Barn Property, LLC, and John Lorden of Beale Associates had revised plans removing one duplex from the buffer zone but relocated the barn fully into the wetland buffer, which commission members said offered no net benefit.
Commission Chair Bruce Cote called the overall impacts excessive, despite the town's Master Plan emphasis on sustainable development and affordable housing.
