NH STRATHAM — Planning Board approves eight-foot privacy fence for corner lot at Tilton Drive. Steven and Amy Houle secured approval in a 3-1 Planning Board vote, with Chair Thomas House and Members Jay Fraprie and Nate Allison voting for the permit and Vice Chair John Kunowski opposing on grounds that privacy fencing is not essential to productive land use. The conditional use permit allows the solid wood fence to extend into the town's 50-foot wetland setback, contingent on submission of an updated site plan showing as-built conditions, a sight triangle, and a fence sample.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment had previously approved a 4-0 variance for the reduced front setback.
