NH STRATHAM — The Stratham Select Board unanimously approved a $500,000 Land Conservation Fund expenditure for the Squamscott Fields conservation easement project. The 91-acre parcel conservation is anchored by a $2.1 million federal NOAA grant awarded to Southeast Land Trust in July 2025, with closing expected by late October or no later than December 30. The Board also unanimously authorized stopping automatic enrollment of new meters in the Community Power Coalition unless its rate falls below Unitil's default, with a formal withdrawal decision expected after winter rates release in December or January.
Police Chief Anthony King reported the department is fully staffed with new Community Service Officer David Newman starting September 22. The Board accepted a $5,000 Stratham Volunteer Fire Department Association donation for rapid sequence intubation training.
