NH STRATHAM — Stratham Select Board authorizes shoreline grant support and holds park regulation hearings. The three-member Board unanimously authorized Chair Allison Knab to sign a letter of support for the PREPA Town Landing Living Shoreline and Erosion Management Plan grant application. The Board held public hearings on two proposed Stratham Hill Park ordinances: banning e-bikes and limiting dog walkers to two animals maximum.
The New England Mountain Bike Association advocated for Class 1 e-bike access and cited trail research, while park abutters raised concerns about trail wear and impacts on wildlife. A second e-bike hearing is scheduled.
