Select Board Sustains Community Power Coalition Participation
Agendas & · Meeting of January 1, 2026
NH STRATHAM — Stratham Select Board opts to maintain Community Power participation. Chair Matt O'Keefe, Energy Commission members Paul Deschaine and Charlie Case presented findings showing the Community Power Coalition's first two 2024 rate periods offered savings compared to Unitil's default rate but the last four periods have shown rising costs. The Board chose to maintain participation and direct staff to clearly communicate residents' opt-out options to the public.
In additional business, the Board unanimously authorized the Town Administrator to make an offer of $58,800 from the Land Conservation Fund for the Haley property and unanimously accepted a quitclaim deed for the Rollins Hill Farm cul-de-sac, completing the Town's formal acceptance of infrastructure originally deeded to the homeowners association in 2017.
