NH STRATHAM — Stratham Energy Commission recommended conditional benchmarks for Community Power membership through the 2027 rate period. The Commission will recommend the Select Board withdraw from Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire if the cooperative's rates exceed Unitil's default supply rate during the February-July 2027 comparison window. If rates prove competitive, the Commission will recommend maintaining membership.
The Commission also recommended that the Select Board direct CPCNH to accept no new customer enrollments from Stratham. Commission member Michael Welty questioned whether CPCNH would offer a special rate to retain the town's membership.
